ABOUT OBO
Created in 2016, Operation Black Out (OBO) Dance Club is Ball State University's all-inclusive dance club. We accept all levels and all abilities of dancers for we are a no-cut team. OBO also does all styles of dance. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to dance and to perform on stage. We have three levels, beginner, intermediate & advanced, so the dancers are able to learn and grow with dancers of their skill level. At the beginning of the semester, OBO hosts classes twice a week for the members to learn combos from their fellow dances. At the end of the semester, the dancers are creating group dances to perform at the end of the semester showcase, OBO LIVE!! They get to work with music, lighting, costuming, and most importantly, choreography. We are also invited to perform at other events on and off campus throughout the semester. We have performed at LatinxPalooza, BSU Belly Dance Women's Week, Jacquees concert in the village, Indiana Pacers game and so much more.

OBO is also an award-winning dance group. Every year, OBO has competed at Ball State University's Air Jam Homecoming event, the annual lip-sync competition. We have been named the Independent Runner-Up Team in 2021 & 2022.
