Who can join OBO?
Any Ball State student may join OBO. It does matter if you have danced for years, or never danced a day in your life, we have a spot for you for we cater to all levels of dance. At OBO Dance Club, we strive to create a space for people of all backgrounds to come together and express themselves through movement.
What does OBO do?
OBO Dance Club is a place to come together and spread our love for dance. We offer weekly combo classes taught by members of OBO and a show at the end of the semester featuring dances created by the OBO dancers. We also have performed at several events, including an NBA game, and we strive to share our passion for dance with the world. We also compete at AirJam in the fall, and host Day Of Dance in the spring. Join us at OBO Dance Club and get ready to move.
How do auditions work, if this a no-cut team?
At our dance club, we offer placement auditions that are suitable for dancers of all levels. We cover the basics of jazz technique and then teach combinations in both hiphop and jazz styles. At the end of the audition, you will have the chance to showcase your special skills.
What styles of dance do you do?
At our dance club, we offer classes in all styles of dance. Our members are experienced dancers and teachers who can help you learn any style of dance you choose. Come join us and let our members teach you the moves and rhythms of your favorite dances
